Grossmith was founded in 1835 in the City of London and is one of England’s oldest perfume houses. It played a major part in the development of modern perfumery and earned an important place as a fine English perfume house at a time when English perfumery rivaled that of France.
Having been out of family ownership for 30 years, Grossmith is now owned by Simon Brooke, the great great grandson of the founder, John Grossmith.
Simon and his wife Amanda have rejuvenated Grossmith for a new generation. The Black Label perfumes are a collection of traditional scents with a modern flourish, while the Classic collection is a trio fragrances reimagined using the original formulae.
